The relationship between horse and owner is, for many, one that is very important! There is a special bond that happens between the true horse lover and their special 4 legged friend, companion and cohort. Our goal is to discover what you dream of in a horse and what challenges you may face within horse ownership and determine whether we have a horse that fills those needs. We also work with the new partners to develop a support system (if needed) after you leave the Ranch, which greatly aids in a successful transition.
It is so sad to see horses passed from owner to owner simply because they were not properly matched. Both parties suffer from the failed relationship, but the horse has little control over what happens next. We want to do as much as we can to create a happy placement for both Horse and Owner.
In order to find out what your needs are as a rider and what type of horse would be the best match, we prefer to speak to people personally. Emails often leave out a lot of details that are important when determining a good match. Many of our customers are beginner riders, first time horse owners and riders that are getting back to their passion after many years away. In those circumstances, we recommend scheduling a lesson here, so that we may determine what type of horse would be most suitable for your particular level, challenges and aspirations. By getting to know you and your ability in a lesson setting, we will be able to more accurately recommend the horses here that may be 'the one'. If we don't currently have the perfect horse for you we will continue to search for a wonderful match. Please feel free to give us a call at 802-293-5837 to discuss your needs, schedule viewings and lessons.
To further assist you in finding a horse that matches what you are looking for we have put each of our horses into categories that we believe that they are best suited for. We have also given them a rating from 1-3 within those categories.
Rating 1- well started
Rating 2- confident
Rating 3- experienced

Ranger is a 13 year old Appaloosa gelding. He is 16hh and has a nice sturdy build. Ranger is one of those horses that everyone loves to have in the barn. He is flashy, super quiet, friendly, easy to work around, and really fun to ride. He goes english and western. He is really responsive to bit, leg, and seat pressure. He neck reins great. Will turn in a full circle just by using leg and seat pressure. He has really comfortable gaits. You can ask him to do a really slow jog that is great to sit to. He can also extend into a beautiful trot that is very comfortable for english pleasure. He has a really nice head set. He is ready for the show ring tomorrow. He is the type of horse that enters the ring and is ready to perform for you. Ranger is excellent out on the trail. Very confident in the front or following. Will go out alone. Not spooky at anything. Goes over anything you ask. He is not overly forward but is ready to go when asked. Ranger is really nice to work around. Very willing to do whatever you ask. Bridles great, tacks quietly, stands for grooming, bathing, and walks right into the trailer. Would be great for any discipline. $4000
Oklahomas Gold Rush is a Registered Quarterhorse gelding. He is absolutely stunning with his dapple palomino coloring. He is 8 yrs old and is a big boy at 16.2hh. This horse has a ton of potential for any discipline. He is by far one of the most comfortable horses I have ever ridden. He will go english and western. He neck reins like a reining horse and direct reins as well. Engages hind end nicely. He is very sensitive and responsive. He moves off of leg and responds to seat pressure. Very light on the bit. He can do the slowest little jog or move out into an extended trot. He has an incredible slow lope that you could ride all day long. He knows how to back, side pass, lead changes, spin in both directions, and will stop to "woah." Stands for mounting and dismounting. Not spooky at all. He is the perfect trail horse. Very confident in the front but will follow other horses as well. You can ask him to stop and stand while others gallop ahead and he could care less. You can turn him around from the group and go off by yourself without an objection from him. Will go over anything that you ask him to. As big as this boy is he is a total love. He is very friendly and loves attention. Stands for grooming, tacking, picks up feet, ties all day long. This horse will get you noticed in the show. I feel he could excel at just about any discipline english pleasure, western pleasure, roping, reining, gaming, dressage, or hunter. We will be getting additional pictures and video soon so please check back often. $7500
BVR Rosie Fairfax (Barn name Attey) is a registered Quarterhorse mare. She is 8 years old and approx 15.1hh. Attey is a really sturdy built quarterhorse. Excellent conformation and nice stocky legs. Attey is very quiet and has a very sweet personality. She always has her head sticking out of her stall looking for attention, and will put her head down right into your arms. She rides english and western. Direct reins and knows some neck reining. Stops to "woah." She will walk/trot/canter/back in the ring and on the trail. She is more woah than go but does not require a lot of leg to get her into a canter. Which makes her a good beginner horse. Will trot with just a kiss. She has really nice easy gaits. Slow jog and easy going canter. She will ground tie where ever you leave her. Attey is great out on the trail. Goes over anything you ask her to. Not spooky. Confident in the lead or following. Will go out alone. You can do anything on her back. Very tolerent and willing to do whatever you ask. Very sweet with kids and will stand quietly while they groom and tack her. Picks up feet and trailers with no issues. Would be an excellent husband horse, trail horse, lesson horse, 4H, english, or western pleasure. $3500

Wind Wise Hancock (Barn name Hank) is a Registered Quarterhorse gelding. He is going to be 12 years old in two weeks. He is approx 15.2hh. He is a gorgeous bay roan color. Really stocky and nicely built. This horse is really well broke. He has an additional gait that makes him very comfortable. Walk/trot/pace/canter. The pace is a two beat gait with the legs on either side of the horse moving together at the same time. It is usually seen in standardbreds and icelandic horses. You could own one of the only quarterhorses around that knows how to pace. He is super sensitive to leg, bit, and seat pressure. He neck reins like a reining horse and may have been used as one. He does amazing rollbacks, spins, backs, and side passes. He is very light and really responsive. He stops when you say "woah." He will go english or western. Great on the trail, very confident. Not spooky at anything. Goes over anything you ask. Fine with cows, farm equipment, cars flying by, doesn't get started if other horses spook at something. This horse could excel at a number of disciplines. He has a very sweet personality. He is easy to handle and work around. Picks up feet, great for the farrier, quiet to saddle and brush, leads, ties all day long. $3,900
Update: Check out the new video of Hank from the Cambridge Gymkhana we went to the other night. He did extremely well and was in the ribbons in every event!

HQH Larks Hobby Ladi (Barn name Jessie) is a Registered Quarterhorse mare. She is a beautiful rare golden bay color with dorsal strip. She is 6 years old and approx 15hh. She is a nice sturdy built girl. She will go english or western. Direct reins and knows some neck reining. She is super light to leg. Will side pass. You can move right around in a circle with just leg pressure. For the most part you can use your reins on her to maintain your speed and steer solely with your legs all the way around the ring. Backs really nice. Has a great bend where her nose comes all way to your toe. Jessie is really talented and very well trained. I think she could really excel in a number of disciplines including dressage, western pleasure, english, pleasure, roping, or gaming. Jessie does have some get up and go but is not overly forward. She will walk until asked to do something differently. Stops to "woah". Has a nice collected walk, trot, canter. Jessie is great on the trail. Not spooky. Very confident in the front. Dream Copper Hawk is a Registered POA gelding. Copper was foaled on 4/27/2001 so he just turned 8 years old. He is 56 inches or 14hh. Copper will go english or western. He will walk, trot, canter, and back. Copper has really nice comfortable gaits. He is light on the mouth and moves off of leg aids. He is even learning to neck rein. He has a really nice jump on him and he absolutely loves it. He will jump anything that you point him at. He is consistent over the jumps. He won't pull you over or get strong over jumps. He is a bit rusty at coming into a nice frame but definitely knows how to do it. Copper was ridden primarily by a 7 year old girl. He is super willing and moves around the ring without the slightest objection. He is very smart and once he knows what you are asking of him he is happy to do it. He can be ridden on a loose rein and does not need to be held back, however it is not difficult to get him going either. He is great on the trail and would probably be a great cross country pony. He goes through anything on the trail you ask to. You can hold him back while other horses go ahead without him getting upset. He will walk to and from the barn on a loose rein. He is quiet for saddling, grooming, trimming, leading, cross tie, and trailing. He is a really sweet boy that I think could really take someone far in the show ring. He would be excellent for lessons, 4H, pony circuit, hunter jumper, english equitation, etc. $5,500

Diamond is a 7 year old Friesian Sporthorse mare. She is registered with the American Warmblood Society#2002014. Her sire is Danny who is friesian that was imported from Canada (see picture below). Danny's sire was the first friesian who was ever imported into the United States. Her dam is Zipper's April, a registered appaloosa. Diamond is absolutely beautiful! She was sent away for professional training to be started right before she turned 5 years old. Apparently she had been going walk, trot, canter, and doing some jumping with no issues. After returning back to her owners from training she was not ridden again for 2 years. We are in the process of restarting her. The first time we got on her back after sitting all that time she was a perfect angel. No buck or rear. She is not hot at all. We have ridden her walk, trot, and canter. She is totally laid back and is more woah than go. She has an extremely sweet personality. She loves everyone that will give her attention. She has really nice flowing gaits. We are currently riding her daily on the trail and in the ring. We are asking $5,500 but her price will increase as her retraining continues.
This is Diamond's Sire Danny.

T-Valley Danny is our second Friesian stallion who was foaled June 22, l993. He stands 17.2 hands, and weighs 2250 pounds. Danny was imported from Canada. His sire was the great "Barteld",the first Friesian stallion imported into the United States. Danny will proudly carry on his family line. Danny has matured into a massive black giant, but a giant with the heart of a puppy. What a lover this boy is. To pet him is to let him crawl into your heart. Danny is a proud representative of the Friesian breed. Danny stamps his foals with his big scopy movement and amazing presence. The foundation of his character lies in his intelligence, willingness to learn and readiness to to perform. Danny is currently standing to the public to produce the Sport Horse of your dreams.
